Vardan Organics BB Cream with SPF 30

This is a tinted cream that combines light coverage with a moisturising base, sold in a 100g jar and rated SPF 30. It is made for men and women and suits all skin types.

The formula is built on a mix of clays and plant oils, with sandalwood, multani mitti and French pink clay alongside jojoba oil, glycerin and vitamin E. It is free from parabens and sulphates and is not tested on animals.

Ingredients and their traditional uses

• Sandalwood, or chandan (Santalum album) is one of the oldest ingredients in Indian skincare, traditionally used for its cooling and soothing properties.
• Multani mitti is a clay long used in Indian skin preparations to help absorb excess oil from the surface of the skin.
• French pink clay is a fine mineral clay traditionally used in gentle cleansing preparations and may help skin feel smoother with regular use.
• Jojoba oil (Simmondsia chinensis) is a light plant oil that sits close to the skin's own surface oils, which is why it absorbs without a heavy finish.
• Glycerin draws and holds moisture, which is what keeps the cream from feeling dry through the day.
• Vitamin E (tocopherol) is included as a nourishing ingredient and also helps keep the oils in the formula stable.
• Carrot seed oil (Daucus carota) and grapeseed oil (Vitis vinifera) round out the oil base, both traditionally used in skin preparations.
• Free from parabens and sulphates, and cruelty free.
